Steven Tyler is not the reason I listen to classic rock...

Also, how can it be classic if this is one of his new songs?

Let me reappraise it. Classic rock singers.  And im not talking about specifically Steven Tyler, I mean in general.

I dunno... I can think of a few younger acts touring the country putting out some great music as well.

I think you guys are misunderstanding me.  I'm not saying they can't sing now.  I'm saying when their 63 years old they can't sing like the 70-80s singers

Paul Rodgers > all.

All others are number 2 or lower.

He also does a great version of "bad company" in krakow.

I've never heard aerosmith sound good live.

If the guitarist is unable to perform, paul will just pick up the guitar and play it himself.

As a rock format air talent on the radio from 1979 to 2007, one of my career holes was never meeting or interviewing anyone from Aerosmith.

They had their problems and came back and showed other bands the dust in 1997.

I am proud of each and every one of them.  They deserve all that fame has to offer.

Most of these flash-in-the-pan CHR bands get one T40 hit and thats all.  Aerosmith followed their dreams...not the dictates of record companies or promoters.

:aok Paul Rogers is a Damn good singer, best singer STILL is Rob Halford, Judas Priest.
I'm sure Opera vocal coaching when young helped.
Noone can still hit the highs the way he can. Have seen JP too many times to count,
have never heard a flat, off key or scratchy note from any song I heard.
I don't think there's any other singer with the range Halford has.                                              <S> Oz

Same thing with Metallica. (I think it was alcohol, but my point is still valid.)

I agree Halford is the metal god.

That said, Sebastian Bach might have pulled off the greatest scream.

Fast forward to 30 seconds.
