seems like joystick and keyboard buttons not working, can hear fine. all arenas.
-
Worked at first, then lost all active vox functionality. As if the transmit key doesn't work, not even a beep or name coming up. Key mappings are correct though.
-
Glad I'm not alone... All my sound settings in game and on my computer are the same, nothing has changed, and unable to use vox.
-
Found the cause. Minimizing the game invariably results in losing total vox capability, .resetv brings it back.
-
No joy here. I manage to have some voice but way too much static in any vox setup (with boost, without, auto, small increase/decrease in volume, etc). And I've tried all possibilities. Used to be good. now is crap!
-
thanks for the update Lusche

fixed for now. did the reset and buttons started working but had to restart game for vox to work. thanks
-
still problems, seems have to do the reset between arena and sometimes does not work.
-
Wish we could stay with old vox... it worked.
No vox at all now in mw or LW.
-
I had the same problem with my joystick buttons not activating my vox. I reinstalled the update AH2242TO2243, within my AcesHigh folder.
Hope this helps,

maybe they are going back to when no one had mics for those new folks who have no mic. :)
-
Vox works on my end every one sounds like they have colds or their heads in a cardboard box though.

Same here....I have to log out and come back in.

I don't know that this is related to the vox, but tonight my frame rate is acting weird (not getting low), but it jumps from 60ish-to 40's and all that stuttering is screwing me over.
-
I have same issue as lusche, alt-tabbing causes vox to quit. .resetv fixes it.
Wiley.
-
New VOX sound MUCH better. I had been having trouble with echo/reverb and that issue is GONE. Fix the need to .resetv and I think we'll be fine.
-
Vox is great. Playability not so much. The frame rates are stuttering way too much, especially when there is an intense fight. Before the patch I was getting a steady 60 fps, even in furballs. Now there's stutters.
-
I noticed the lag issue too. Never happened before, another memory leak... find those pointers :t. resetv corrected the VOX issue for me as well. Looks like we headed for patch 4 soon
Keep up the hard work HTC staff :salute

I had my joystick buttons and keyboard both quit on me during my first hop. Started off great. VOX sound was much clearer but some were quieter than others. I noticed that when hearing VOX it almost completely cuts other sounds. Only way I got sound back was to do something like fire guns or bump the throttle.
-
reinstalled the patch and it seemed to fix it but when I minimize the game it loses button function. resetv restores button function but no vox. Have to restart the game to get full function.
-
I've been having the stutters as well. Seems to stutter
pretty bad, go back to somewhat normal, crash, come back,
pretty bad stutters, all is fine for the rest of the night.
At least that is the pattern that happens with me.
-
Vox sound quality is much better for me, however I did notice many people complaining that their vox had quit completely.
Seems like it was an improvement for some or a complete flop for others.

When? Just now? Was it the new vox last night? I had zero issues with vox last night.
-
The new db boost added in the vox options is just what I needed to fix my vox. I had trouble with my sound card not recording loud enough and alot of the softer sound were missing when I spoke. That last patch fixed it all.
The new codex tested last night in TT was stunning. Never heard such clear vox before. KEEP IT! And put it in everywhere. I'm sure small problems will be ironed out soon enough. No more garbled, hardly understandable comm. It was crystal clear for me. :aok I guess that the ones that sounded weak need to fiddle with their vox options a bit.
-
The vox sounded great (When it worked) it seemed to be touch and go. One squad mate would try to talk, and it would not even show him as trying to key up. Another squad mate would key up, but no sound. I think I did a .resetv about five times just to keep mine working. More irritating to me than the vox, was the horrific stutters I was getting.
-
Agree with the sound quality. Best ever for sure. Crystal clear. Only problem I had was that some guys were sort of quiet and some were knockin your ears off. In crystal clarity tho mind you! I'd imagine that over time that'd even out with people tweaking their mics.
The loss of my keys and buttons mid-hop was annoying tho. I was just flying straight and level. Don't remember if I had said something or someone else had. Convo was about frame rate hits but mine at the time was solid 60 but I wasn't near anyone at the time. I was looking straight ahead and tried to look around and thought my hat switch had gone bad. Then tried to type and nothing worked at all. Stick inputs did so I could fly around but repeated attempts to type eventually put me at the desktop with AH minimized to the taskbar. I couldn't close it from there either, it just flashed when I right or left clicked on it. Killed in task manager, but still didn't have keyboard or stick button functions until I tried to test the keyboard profile--it's a G-15. Once I tested with logitech software it came back. In game I didn't try a resetv as it didn't occur to me that the problem might be related to sound. I thought I had a virus or spyware and ran scans after I got the keyboard and stick back running and blew off flying rest of last night. Negative there glad to say. Will try again later today.
If DxDiag needed just let me know and I'll send it.

Hmm then just buggy from patch I guess. Last night someone would key and all you'd hear is beeps or a sticking vox... like ma ma ma ma ma ma ma ma ma ma over and over for a good while.
Sometimes you'd get a stutter and all your controls quit working.

I'm guessing it is just the same vox, but different codec. :P
-
Just spent an hour or so in TT arena. Everything worked OK. No lockups or frame stutters. Not an overly crowded arena tho. Lot of raves about VOX sound quality.
-
Crystal clear I tell you. English is not my native language so when it's all garbled I have a hard time picking up what is being said. Now when I dont get it, it's just my brain overloading... :lol
EDIT : and/or my being too drunk...
-
New vox sounds great only problem I had was if I alt tabbed out and came back in then no vox. Closed game and logged back in, vox back. Didn't think to try .resetv as it has never worked for me before with any other vox issue but will try if it happens again. :)

patch 4 seems to have fixed it for me. WTG

Fingers crossed.. will update when I get home.
-
let game set on about a hour with no activity and ended up with no sound whatsoever. had to relog and it came back
-
Still... nothing.... only static when I try to speak...
-
With patch 4, my game crashes when I press the talk button.
