The 3rd Bomber Group has arrived at Henderson Field base A12. They will start conducting combat operations with their A-20Gs immediately.
The USS Bunker Hill sailed within 50 miles of the Solomons. She flew off Fighting 17 and hurriedly departed the area. VF-17 has arrived at Ondonga Field A7 with their new F4U1A Corsairs.
and like the 3rd Bomb Group will immediately start conducting combat operations.
The submarine USS Devilfish reports a Shokaku class aircraft carrier and her escorts have sortied from Truk lagoon. The Devilfish had to crash dive when attacked by a Japanese flying boat and lost contact with the carrier group.
