-

Who is this guy suppose to be anyway ?

This terrifies me. No matter how many times he's wrong, no matter how many times he pushes the date around, he will still have people believing in him.
Going a step further, I get a kick out of the idea that believing the rapture will happen "someday" is somehow less kooky than believing it will happen in october.
-
id love to have him sell me his house for 5 bucks. I mean.. he's certain this time so why should he refuse selling me his home?
-
haha what a moron :lol
-
haha what a moron :lol
Moron? I'm not so sure. He has, afterall, gotten thousands of people to contribute millions of dollars to his "cause"... I would like to see some photos of his house and his cars. I'd like to see what kind of lifestyle he is living off of his contributors. Then I can better decide if he is a moron, or just a crook.

Well it would seem that he's scaring millions of people for nothing.

What? More like he's scaring dozens of gullible morons of the type who are surprised by their own shadow. This is the sort of whacko that even the insane fundamentalists are laughing at.
-
I mean, come October 21st, nothings going to happen, so he'll say December 21st. See my point?
-
We have given you salient points on this. What don't you understand? This makes the second or third time Camping has been wrong on this subject. Also this isn't the end of the world. If this bit is fact and does happen it only marks the beginning of the apocalypse. If I say anything more I will be treading on rule 14.

"the Rapture" is a complete false teaching....a man made theory....and no where is it in the Bible.

Right, and those of us who have outgrown imaginary friends see him for the charlatan he is, collecting money from the scared and gullible.

Depends on your interpretation.
1 Thessalonians 4:17
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
-
Depends on your interpretation.
um...no...its not in the Bible period.
people may "interpret" the Bible any way they like, but it does not change the Truth.

What do you think preachers do constantly? They all "interpret" it differently. None of the bible is truth, no one who wrote the bible ever met Jesus. It's all third/fourth generation second hand accounts.

What is the "Truthful" interpretation of it then?

quote is not edit

Anyone else find it a hysterical coincidence, this guy has had the mainstream spotlight from the media for over 5 months, since the New Year and the public interest peaked, and now he's made another prediction set for another 5-months from this recent media/public interest peak?
I think his accountants and publicists have gotten it down to a precise science and timetable after this most recent forcast myself. :rofl :noid

sorry but I have found the only "truth" in this world is in the Bible.
but I must stop posting in this thread, I would love to talk about it but we cannot.
-
OK so change the date to Oct, still the funny!

If memory serves his prediction was that the rapture would occur on May 21, the world would end in October, two different events in the same theory/prediction.

Now, there's a demonstration of pure ignorance.

I would not say it so negatively, or try not to......
this world makes it very difficult to believe and because of the atrocities that man has done in "god's" name makes it even harder.
-

Who's to say the rapture didn't happen and everyone left are the unrepentant sinners? Few enough followed the literal word of the bible that it would be easy to miss them.

Not an attempt to be negative. Just a statement of observation. The Bible is truth. All humans, with the exception on one in the past, are imperfect.

totally agree there :aok
I was just thinking how you said he was "ignorant" which is an insult, and if we who believe want to help someone who may not, its not good to insult them.
-

What about the people who wrote the books of the bible? What about the committee members who decided what was canon and what wasn't?
How can you support slavery?

Finally, I get to disagree with Ink :lol

:rofl are you really going to try this? Have you ever gotten any of them to say oups, my bad. I've been fooled :lol

I guess I have a fascination with such straightforward doublethink.
