This afternoon is shaping up to be much like the April 27th outbreak. If you live in these areas please be aware and take the necessary steps to protect you and your family. Spread the word as well. People are notorious for not taking weather seriously. Today will not be a day to blow off the weatherman. The tornado that killed 117 in Joplin was in a Moderate Risk area. Today is a High Risk with the potentail in that High Risk being elevated even higher a short time ago.
Like Rogwar said, batton down the hatches.

I just got a text from my daughter in Edmond, OK. "The weather people said that today would be a severe risk day with tornado outbreaks! They hardly ever use the term tornado outbreaks! Edmond is under a tornado watch. Let the fun begin, LOL"
Be safe all!

I start driving yesterday morning from Joplin,Mo all the way home only through storms, tornado warnings, high winds, all Missouri,Illinois,Indiana,Ohio. But thx to this new gadgets connected to Internet, i can watch NOAA Doppler all the time and stop if needed. Only Wyoming DOT has best high winds warnings for high profile vehicles on I-80, and I-25, and they shut down the hwy. I was thinking to install one of this radar they use for small boats on my truck, (and some missiles to blow up storm cells :lol), but are very expensive.
