I smell just a bug and think a simple detailed report in the appropriate forum would help much more than this. :)

Most probably, but that's something HTC can worry about. Just mention map name, base and anything else of importance. And if you want them to see the film, send it at support@hitechcreations.com, as they do not visit mediafire.

TAGMA :)

i think that what they do at HTC's office, is to put everyones name in a hat. then once or twice a week, they pull a name out.
that person then suffers weird stuff intermittently for the next week or so. :noid

yes indeed!!!
if you'd have won the other drawing, you'd have had free perk rides for a week. :noid :bolt:

Here.....let me throw out the standard answer given at online flight sims when someone sees something they don't like.
"It's netlag"

I smell BS too, you didn't land on the run way, you landed next to it. :neener:
-
It's the ongoing HTC conspiracy against cartoon Luftwaffe pilots at work. Clearly the Luftwaffe runways are undermodeled :)

:rofl musta been my name last week... :D

i was idling on cv in a f4 and suddenly my engine broke
-
There is a glitch with the P-38G/J that will cause both props to break if you adjust RPM's while taxiing out of a hangar. Have not found that glitch present with the L model.

my car broke down this week and then i lost one of my favorite socks which suddenly appeared in the fridge :old:

haha wow its crazy what ppl do just to get name in lights and what happens if it doesnt lmao
-
Bugs do happen. After the new GV upgrade you would get a ditch on pavement every time if you were not in a hangar. I lost more perk points that way than I have in a year of tanking I emailed HTC about it in Private and they fixed it in just a few days. All is well.
-
So OP, what was the rant really about - Not getting your name up in lights or the way your flight scored. ;)
Its true if a landing does not count as a landing it is kind of irritating to say the least, but would you rant after a no-kills flight? :bolt:

Was it still under warranty?

OOO...THEY must have fired up the time vortex manipulator for you. :noid

The same thing has happened to me twice, I think both times in a P51, maybe once in a P51 and once in a P38.
-
If as you are clicking on the end sortie button you run your throttle up you will get a ditch rather than the wait till you are stopped or successful landing. This has happened to me three or four times in this latest version. I guess the trick is to leave your throttle completely closed until you are in the tower.

I looked at the film, What happened was you bumped your throttle at the perfect time while exiting flight.
If you look at the end of the film the last 1/4 sec you will hear your engine start increasing.
This is not a new bug, has been in the system forever, but never know about before your film, the sequence of events goes like this.
When your plane is stopped, it tells the server that you are stopped. And changes your clients exit status from ditched to landed if you are on a runway.
When you exit flight a .ef command goes to the server. It checks what the client told it last. And is says ok your not moving so you can exit, and then the server tells the client to terminate its simulation.
At some point just after the .ef was sent you bumped your throttle. And changed your state to moving and set your exit status to ditched and told the server you were moving. But the server had already sent the terminate message.
The client then received the terminate and checks what your exit status is (it is ditched).
The Client terminates the sim and tells the server I'v terminated simulation mode with a exit status of ditched.
The server scores the sortie as ditched.
Thanks for the film.
We will fix the race condition for the next patch. But please next bug report please drop the attitude and post it in the correct forum.

YOU oughtta see what they do if they've had a little to drink....or if a particularly belligerent persons name is pulled.

I bellied in 6 the other night, nice and gentle. I sat there for a sec and just before I towered out, the plane kinda twitched and it killed me. Was weird.

In order to feed my needs I must see me name in lights! :t

Turning off your engine before exiting flight will stop this from happening.
My engine is normally off before wheels touch pavement.

Ki-84 does that if you have damge prior to belly landing.

Brit squad, so you have to say "Jolly good show old chap". What's wrong with the need of landing?

A very weird thing happened to my squaddie AnglEyes tonight while landing the Dora! He bellied onto the runway, and his plane kept sliding along at 2 to 5mph and he had no rudder control, nothing. The plane continued to slowly slide along till he was off the runway! And he had 6 kills :furious

of course there will be no rudder control at such a low speed.
landing is over rated. :aok

Did he keep his flaps fully extended? Very light, low angle, full flaps, and a Dora will slide easily down 1/4-1/3 of the runway.
-
I think Steele is sayin his squadie never stopped, just kept going
-
Which I doubt is the case, otherwise it is most likely he would of kept sliding after the runway ended until he hit something.
-The Dora doesn't loose speed quickly, it retains it quite well.
-The Dora can slide a very good distance down the runway, especialy when light and with full flaps (or no flaps) down and with both wings attached.
Often times, when I have to land gear-up in my Dora, I will at some point (before I get too slow to loose most/all control from the surfaces) in the slide on the runway, intentionaly turn it 90-degrees so it will come to a faster stop at a place on the runway that I choose. Otherwise it is very easy for it to slowly slide down the runway, to a point where you have almost no control because not enough air is passing over your control surfaces, while it will often still have enough E to slide just off the pavement to the sides of the runway.
