Title: Can some one explain this..

I took off to go after a 190 hitting one of our towns but the ack got him before I could. We were still blinking so I grabbed some alt and started looking.  I saw an IL2 coming in slightly below me. I dove on him and  saw some pieces fall off.  Came back around and got on his six; slowed down so I wouldn't over shoot. Just getting ready to fire and he disappeared. No system message, and the base stopped blinking. I thought some unkind thoughts and headed back to base. About 30 seconds later, the IL2 appeared about 2k above me. Just as I was saying "what the ..." he disappeared again. This time I got a message saying I shot down so-and-so.
This isn't a whine and I am not accusing anyone of anything. I am just curious as to what might have happened.
Any ideas.

Probably a bad connection, the second time he disappeared he most likely disco'd.

the aliens got him rigth a second before he died of a pw, took him on 243 years of painfull experiments and then left him back on earth but above you. in your time it was a few minutes tho.

 :headscratch:  This is know of as an alien abduction.  They reverse engineered the IL2 while they had it and decided it was a flying tank.  They are now deciding if they can make it stealth and fly it into area 51 where there brothers were left back in the 1950's to retrieve there bodies.   :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

ever seen what's his name dive into the ground then be gone for 5 seconds then reappear somewhere else and you have to start all over  :noid.

From experience I'd say "Lost UDP, Connecting to TCP"

Also from experience, his computer froze.


I was fighting someone the other night and my sounds started getting funky. I refuse to turn on the A/C until June since it's just me right now as the temperatures sit around 100o.

Suddenly, the computer freezes. Everything stops and I figure a WSD/BSD in on the way. The computer unfreezes and the guy I was 200yds behind is now 4.5k away.

Then the BSD arrived.
