Title: HOLD AT ALL COSTS...
Post by: Megalodon on May 30, 2011, 01:09:16 AM
A new documentary on PBS tonight at 9:00pm

HOLD AT ALL COSTS: KOREA "Outpost Harry"
The Story of Forgotten Warriors, in a Forgotten Battle, of a Forgotten War!

An important film airs this Memorial Day, 2011, donated to the world by Executive Producer, Bob
Baker; himself a survivor a horrific battle at the end of the Koran War. Teaming up with award winning
director, Glenn Palmedo-Smith, the film will enlighten the viewer like no other. Sixty years after the start
of that war, audiences will find vast similarities of the issues then, to today's conflicts. This film tells the
story from those who actually fought it -- a veteran's perspective -- all veterans; friends and enemy alike.
Narrated by Edward Herrmann.

I was dissapointed. It did not air on WV PBS. Although they did have the American Experience "War Letters" which was good but sad.

When you see those guys talking about their memories, their buddies who didnt make it back and notice their lip quivering... that is powerful.  Even after that long it still tugs at their tears.  That is why the Band of Brothers series was so powerful, seeing those old timers tell theri stories and to see their eyes tell a story is amazing.
