could we have the ability to change our planes loadout without having to end-sortie by pulling up in the hanger please?
both fighter&bomber hangers for there plane type.
you pull in, you stop, shut off your engine and it would pop up in the left corner of the screen "change loadout"?
click this, and it will take you straight to the normal hanger selection screen you get from clicking the keyboard.
switch your loadout, wait the choosen time until your plane is fully changed.
then start your engines&roll.
many planes in ww2 had to make multiple loadout changes on a sortie. shouldnt the planes in AH have the ability to also? :pray

In WW2 a sortie ended when you landed whether you took off again or not.

This isn't World War II, it's a game. The point is that a player should be allowed to go from 2 1,000 lb bombs to 2 500lb bombs if they so choose.

The point of a hotpad is a personal challenge, not a stats padding tool. You want a different loadout, just reup a new plane. The challenge is to go as long as you can on that original loadout. If you took 100% on a P-47N you suffer every time you hotpad. If you took rockets but don't want them, you're stuck.
You can end that challenge at ANY time by just towering out.
It is a game, yes. But this game has built-in challenges, like (for example) landing on the runway instead of 10 feet short of it.
My $0.02.

It's a World War II simulator. The player is allowed to switch bombs. But you have to land the plane first.

That's what I meant. You have to land, but your 'sortie' would not be scored until you either chose to end it or crashed/died.

You are correct, and you are stuck with the load out that you first chose.

Yup.
Planes are free and we don't really die nor kill anyone.
No need.
Get a new plane.

:huh i think this one jumped in front of the bus too early...
although penguin's idea is off the reservation, this is a game...one that was designed by the creator to allow players to simulate aerial combat, not all the other stuff that goes along with actually flying an airplane...as much as a number of people think they would want more, it isn't practical business wise.
