I personally have a mix of both, but there are really good and updated frequently. The other sound pack are good as well, but they don't have all the planes and have stopped being updated.

To install:

Delete the "sounds" folder in your C:/AcesHighII and put the individual folders for the planes, (spit9,P51d) in a new folder named "sounds"

The Kosher way of installing them is to first rename you current folder in the AH directory called "Sounds" to something else, ie: "OldSounds", then paste your new sounds into a new "Sounds" folder.  This way, incase you don't like the new sounds, have a problem, or want to swap out a custom sound for one of the defaults, they're still there and available.

thats all you have to do?

Download, unzip, plug (in place of the original sound files in the AH program directory) and play.

Yea thats right, I think that if you have never installed one before the sounds folder will be empty.

I have all 3 sounds downloaded.  and will switch every couple of months.  it makes the game sound so different that it feels like i get a new game every time.

^^^THIS!^^^

Oddly enough CAP, I don't fly the 38 often, but after installing TB's sounds on my brandy-new computer, the 38J was the very first bird I upped... and this was after playing with the "stock" sounds for right at 2 years.....

 :O :O :O

I love the way that 38 sounds!  :rock

Over time, do not be afraid to mix and match.  I think I probably have the most odd ball and mix-n-matched sound pack out there.  I cant figure out how to edit the sounds well enough otherwise I'd make my own sound pack just for main tank gun reload times.  I have a few CD's with just sound effects on them and there are some simple sounds like "doors opening and closing" that are almost a dead ringer for an "unload and reload" sound for a tank gun.
