I ask you, rooks and Bishes, that when there are NO knights on the arena, dont go for our bases...lately i've entered in the arena finding I was the only knight there and watching that both rooks and bishes were going for bases...In both times I managed to stop one of the attacks (in one I downed a B-17,B26 and Corsair in a row with my Spit, and today i had to fight a B26, then go to 22 and fight a 205-hi LAMPO-and then return to 23 to DOWN A c47 while I still was on land, and then kill some paras also from land),
but as I cant be in two sides at the same time, the other field fall...
OK i guess this is a game...but I have a bad taste about coward people, and attack a defenceless country is a cowardice, so is doing two simultaneous attacs when there's only one user online!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So again I ask you to stop it...that is a cowardice.
BTW,Hitech,Pyro could you do something as a "no conquerable fields" for a country with no users online?

How about just haveing two countrys?

RAM...see my post about getting more people online during asia/pacific time zones..
Basically it happens when I get on after work too. Some nights there's like 3-4 guys attacking a 1 person country when the third country obviously has an equal or close to equal number of players online. Wouldn't it be more fun to attack a country that's going to put up a fight?
Just my opinion of course..maybe people do have fun attacking a defenceless country.

I don't understand this ... are they doing it to improve their score?
If so, maybe HTC needs to have some sort of threshold before you get "credit" for this type of behavior ...
-
Yeah guys, if you need bombing practice go to the training arena. Bloating your score on easy bomb runs is questionable, at best.

I was wondering the other day, how some people high in the rankings (but you never see them online) racked up such huge scores and very high damage to death ratio in bombers.
Guess I know now.

I'd rather see HTC work on getting things that will draw more folks in (new A/C, vehicles, strat) than worry about this.
I think time and subscription will cure this problem.

Hi Ram,
totally agree with u .
If threre are only 2 or 3 people online for a specific country the other countries should hold on and just do a little dogfighting with them.

There are several reasons why some guys go for undefended bases.
1)They don't feel like fighting but they want to fly.
2)New to bombing or flying and want to practice.
3)Not good enough to fight or bomb with enema after them.
4)Just want to be the side with the most bases.
I'm sure there are more reasons but these are the ones I can think of now.

RAM, I would tend to agree with you but last night was an exception to the rule.
We were fighting the Bishops early in the night and it was some very intense fighting.
I was fighting with The Crew while we were on RW. We told the Knights that we would leave them alone and we did. Everyone in our RW channel all agreed we would leave the knights alone.
The Knights then took several bombers deep into our homeland and bombed our city and our DAR.
It was time to teach the Knights a lesson. We would not stop at a simple strike we put them out of the war for several hours. We started the attack and quickly captured 2 of their bases. The Knights continued to retaliate by fighting back and taking some of our front line bases.
While Cave led the big bomber formations to crumble their infrastructure, I (with a friend who's new to the game) took some high B17's and leveled (all buildings gone) at 3 of their bases and their entire fuel town. My friend and me killed 8 Knight fighters each while we were bombing their bases. It was some good fighting and we had no escort.
My flight was the diversion and the Knights took the bait.
The rest of the Rooks that were not fighting the Bishops destroyed everything the Knights had except their southern most bases. We destroyed the bases BUT we did not capture all of them, as there was no need. We just wanted to teach the dishonorable Knights a lesson.
The Knights that flew deep into our homeland knew that we were fighting the Bishops and had agreed to leave the Knights alone.
As for doing it for the scores… I’m not good enough at this game yet to be concerned with my score. I believe the retaliatory strike by the Rooks was more to punish the Knights for their cowardice.
I would expect a strike from any other country if I was to lead a flight into their homeland and attempt to level their DAR, while there was a truce.

I still think this is a good case for 2-side war.
You describe destroying all the bases, and if I read correctly, left only 2. Why? This is why the 3-side doesn't work- blasting a team to rubble and not finishing them off is worse than causing a reset. I'm not saying that those Knights were honorable or not, that you shouldn't attack them (absurd- of course you should), but why leave the job unfinished? All you accomplish with this is the ability to vultch the low team continuously.
I don't believe the problem is so much that one side is larger than the others as it is how the large sides choose to wield that power. At least with a 2-side war the lines are drawn, there are no truces, and you just fight until the bitter end. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

So true! (http://route89.com/~wacko99/smile/roll.gif)
Maybe, just maybe the Knights will think again before doing the same thing again.
It's doubtful but even the Knights could have a moment of clarity.. hehe.
Maybe it's the "mad sheep disease" that’s skewed their decision-making skills.

RAM has it occured to you that this situation is a result of Nits getting their arnoldes handed to them fair and square, then quitting in disgust once they are down to two fields?
Or that the raid on the Nit base was launched before the last Nit left the arena?
-
Mox...I logged a little early last night, so I didn't know the Knights had sent a deep strike to rooks. We had been leaving our north flank (F7 and F8) alone for most of the evening.
I did catch a rook 17 and a rook 47 trying a quick grab of 8 during this period, and I think that drew some attention to our north flank at one point. This, coupled with the Knight deep strike mission helps to bolster Kieren's comment that truces never last...
And yes, the mad sheep disease has affected our thought process some-what...
Ni, Ni, Ni,.... bring us a shrubbery....
Funked, I usually will fly any country that is done in #'s or Fields, (although I haven't flown Rooks yet to be honest). I rarely find that the Knights have anything close to equal numbers (on some occassions they get close, I will admit).

Funked when this was happening, today also happened, the 2 first times the arena was in full reset...i mean all sides had the same number of fields.
today it seems I arrived late, cause the bishes had conquered all but 3 of our fields, and I just made a C47 over F1 go down...so see the situation.
Please dont treat me as an idiot. If Im telling this isn't because anyone run away, this was happening at 14:02 pm in spain, so 8:02 AM in USA...
Mox: I wont excuse that traition you tell me. I only say that when you counter attacked there were more than 0 knits isnt' it?????? and more than 1 too...
Is a completely different matter. The thing I m telling happens all days, I come to check how is it and I find our country being attacked without any knit, but me, to defend it. And that because I go it to check!!!!!!!
I insist...please HTC, make something to make undefended countries invulnerable...thks

RAM - I was going I'm not treating you as an idiot. I'm just saying: When you come into the arena, you don't know what happened before, so don't make assumptions! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

One possible way to prevent an outnumbered force from being trampled, would be to modify ack strength and numbers inversely with force strength. Add some 88mm and extra 40mm near the main bases and critical assets. As player numbers increase, start shutting down the extra acks.
A small force would have extra acks to defend their last fields. A large force would have fewer acks, and need to devote some of their aircraft to defense.
During off peak hours, all countries would have extra ack, making it very difficult to grab their main fields, or destroy their critical assets.
