Splashtop app for Ipad.
Look it up. This nifty little app lets you connect remotely to your desktop (as long as the ipad is connected to a wireless network..anywhere in the world) and use your desktop... all it does is transmit your commands to the computer and it STREAMS the video from your vid card back to your ipad.
So yes, you can do anything you can do with your desktop from your Ipad remotely. It allows you to control as many computers as you want. The computer needs to have a remote software installed and running of course.
I love this app since I can go to college now and have full access to everything on my pc. Word, Works, internet, video editing...games,etc.
Be aware that since it is streaming control you cant really play games that need keyboard and mouse due to the ipad's touchscreen system (mouse works ok via touchscreen tap-control but keyb+mouse control is impossible). You will need to have a keyb+ipad for the ipad to do so.
So far I've been able to play most strategy games that are 100% mouse drives with no problem.

Something similar free for android OS :aok

I bought this last week and am very impressed with it. It not only streams the video from the computer, it also streams the sound.

Thanks Mensa.
Have you used it? If so, what do you think of it and was it easy to set up?

iPad only or iPhone too?

I've used it, it's nifty. Just install their desktop client [~18mb] and turn auto discovery on. You're given your exact computer screen on the phone, and it's surprisingly easy to navigate, especially with the 'cursor tracker' feature on. You don't have to use a google account, but it makes things simpler.

Can you use a video capture card on your computer to show a football game on TV on your computer screen, then use this app to stream that to your cell phone, and use that to watch video replays while at the football game in question? I've been wanting to be able to do that for years.

Whatever is displayed on your computer's monitor, will be displayed on your device.
I can start up my webcam on my computer using Splashtop and see it perfectly on my iPad so I don't see why you can't see the replays either.

Installed the free version of this today. Neat little application. Took a few minutes to get it working, but now that it is up and running, I really like it and it is going to be pretty useful for my business.
