Many of us quickly burned out on the very one-dimensional type of fights. And now that that the numbers are low, even less drop in... ya know "I would fly there if only someone would be there..." ;)

Yeah like AVA it just don't have the numbers, and like AVA i would go if it had more numbers.
I loved the WWI arena when it first opened and had lots of flyer's.

For myself, I think I'd have to spend a lot more time adjusting to the planes & their characteristics.  They break very
easily.  I bet it would be fun though, once a person got used to flying...

I love WW1, it just needs a few extra planes and a little more to do apart from Dr1s going round in circles. If there were more people in there, more people would venture in.

HTC definitely has a great canvas to paint on with the WW1 era.  I am still hopeful.

Think I counted 16 last night was good fun 2+ hours of constant dogfighting  :rock with a hundred odd when it started it was like crack  :devil

What happened? DR1 flight modelling for a start although it is beatable in an F1 the camel's handling is mediorce to say the least and you are placing yourself at a huge disadvantage flying it. A lot of people who started flying the DR1 stuck with it resulting in roving bands of DR1s rape squads hardly an encouraging thing to encounter for a new guy or the occassional WW1 flyer.

It does need something besides dogfighting even if thats a few random AI planes and baloons for people to shoot down.

Gotta' take a friend or three in their and then when people see that there's actually activity they start showing up. Me and some of my squaddies went in there one night and the population doubled in a half hour. I was no good but the damage model and the crashes are fun in themselves  :joystick:

I agree, observation balloons and other strategic targets would do a lot to make it less one dimensional. would be nice to see some WW1 bombers too

Something like the gameplay in RB3D but with an online element?

The first week or so that WW1 opened, I was totally addicted.  Same thing every night, log in to meet my mates in the main, look at WWI real quick, log in for "just one" sortie, 6 hours later............still there........................ ...........loved it loved it loved it.

I got burned out on the same planeset and map, at first it was a blast then the MA mentality slowly filtered in over time, now it's just boring since there's really no objectives other than furrballing in Kites
