Not sure where to post this, but I have a recurring yet intermittent problem taking pictures in the film viewer. Weird black triangles and jagged edges sometimes appear when setting up a shot. Check out the wings ( oops, I mean wing ;) ) on the Spit:

Any ideas? :headscratch:

are you giving your videocard or CPU enough time to load all the graphics once you click the button to go to full screen view?
looks like it is similar to like if one clicks "alt tab" to minimize the game and once you come back in to the game, it takes a little bit ( talking seconds / mili seconds ??? ) for the game to reload or count the polygons/pixels and show them correctly ( kind of like you saying it is intermitent?? )
hope this helps

Usually when this problem occurs, I scrub the shot and go back to the film viewer. The problem is still there, so I don't think time is the issue.

-what type of video card?
-have you updated your video drivers recently or lately? or are you like me and don't bother until like 3 or 4 versions have passed ... heh...
has this just recently started showing up, or has it always been there, yet it is intermittent ?.......
could be a "heat" issue or a number of things....... could be that "that specific spitfire skin" has some issues maybe?.........
not much more I can think of right now, with only a picture to go by, I'm sorry

Thanks for the help, TC. :salute
8800GTX+ video card.
Never updated drivers.
Problem started right after we got the B-29.
Issue first occurred on the B-29 and has shown up on at least half a dozen planes.
Definitely time for a dusting.

Probably you are running with texture resolution set just one setting too high.
-
I guess that's a possibility, but why does it only happen on occasion and only recently started happening at all?

Possibly a lot of activity about you that is maxing out your card? Or maybe the video card is on it's way out? Checked your drivers to see if they are up to date?

To fix this start up the game and turn the detail to max. The go into the film viewer and do your shots.

Just updated my drivers for the first time since build date a year and a half ago. We'll see if that helps. :pray
Running hi res textures already and everything maxed except shadows. Have had the same settings the whole time with this system.
Thank you all for the suggestions. :salute
