I wish for 3 new keybind toggles to be added. One to mute Channel VOX, one to mute Range VOX, and one to mute both Channel and Range VOX.
Pretty much there are times in game when you need hear certain things, however, you're unable to due to someone (like me) rambling on the radio. I wish for the ability to map these mute functions to the keyboard or stick so if a situation arises you can mute/un-mute the radio with ease.
There have been so many times when I've needed to hear important orders (in scenarios) but I couldn't because someone on range was eating up the radio. Also the other night I almost lost a B29 because the plane started to overstress, but I couldn't hear the sound effect because there was so much chatter on range/channel.
Please Lords of Hi Creations, give us commoners thy ability to silence thy neighbors.

Maybe there could be an indicator light on the HUD (like the recording red "R" or the Damage Assessment Display) that appears when you mute a radio, or there could be a periodic tone reminding you you've muted a radio like some cars will beep if you've left your seat-belt unbuckled. Or the muting could be just temporary and last for only 15-30 seconds.
+1 :aok

The word Mute in red text in the top right would be perfect. :aok

I'd like to see something like this as well, drives me nuts when I'm in a fight and I suddenly can't hear critical audio queues from my plane, like the stall horn, flap deployment, etc because the range channel is cluttered with chatter.

+1, especially useful when you're in GVs.
be good to have a slider for it too, so you can set the mute level from maybe 50% down to completely silent. I'd prefer to set it to "barely audible" rather than completely off.

This sounds to me like an excellent idea as well. +1.

That right there is gold. I have mine set so my background sounds do go down, but not alot and vital sounds, stall, stress I max out on top of that in the game sounds. HTC has given us the tools, just gotta use em ;)
BUT I fully agree with needing to mute a channel, especially in scenarios. Needs a time limit, 30 seconds maybe. Otherwise... that is what squelch is for.

That doesn't solve not being able to hear channel vox over a rowdy range vox.

+1 :aok HAve wanted this myself for the same reasons.
