not sure, but since the "New Skins Update" post in announcements/news was made........ seems none of my skins are working or showing up now to select in the hangar....

alot of them just show default.........  ( most everything I've flown lately ... P47D11, BF109K4, F6f-5, etc.... ) did these not get included in the newest patch / hires pkg

and I know I had different skins to choose from before

tc, it's the skins.res file...i made the mistake of exiting an arena before all the skins got downloaded and ended up with the same problem. when i got back into an arena the first thing that started downloading was the skins.res file and 2 hours later all my skins were back in the hangar.

i don't know if there is a bug in the download or what, even after verifying the skins, going in to the da only the default is available.

I've only gotten 1 p51 skin. Are there more in this release?

I think the skinners deserve a small mention...

You are absolutely right about that.   Thank you too, skinners, for all your efforts in creating these beauties.

I really wish we could get what new skins were introduced and by whom. These guys really add an element to the game I very much enjoy and I think they should be recognized for their hardwork a little more often.

The 80th even put the 38s down for a bit the other night to take cactus's skin "The Enchantress" up for a spin.  A flight of 4, 457th FS, 506th FG P51Ds otw back to Iwo after a run to Japan with the 29s :)

And 51Ds just aren't fair.  Even I can survive in one.  Just to be safe though, these also have green trim like the 80th 38s :aok

-MY- hat is off to the skinners; the guys who made 'em all. <S>
Same goes to the mapmakers. Though I may not necessarily care for some
of the maps in the rotation, I can appreciate how much work and time goes
into 'em.
Those of us who've played various games over the years are familiar with
the "modders" who contribute so much. Without those guys, and I include
these skinners and mapmakers in that group, PC (war)gaming would
not be half as fascinating as it is today.   :salute
