Title: WWI Speed Thingy
Post by: 100Coogn on June 19, 2011, 10:11:03 PM

Why, when the engine is damaged, does this thing quit spinning?  Using what little commen sense I have,
I can see that it is aerodynamically proportioned and operates on it's own recourse.  It's not dependent
on the engine.
Now, If I shut the engine off, it continues to work.  Not so if my engine locks up.

<realize that it tells my air-speed, even though it's not spinning around.>

Please note my rant, so I may get a life.

That is part of an offline mission.   ;)
The issue does exist though.

Because the way we make it spin is by tying it to the prop animation.  When the prop dies, so does it.  This is the same on the little turbine on the nose of the ME163, for example.
