Title: more Vox slots.
Post by: Tyrannis on June 20, 2011, 10:25:21 AM
as the name implies, could we please have 2-3 new VOX slot's added?
Reason i ask is due to many squads in AH have diff flights among them. and when out doing w.e they do, they all have to speak on the 1 vox,
but with 2 new VOX they could have there own flight tuned separably from the main vox. making it easier from flights/wingman to communicate between each-other without interrupting others in the flight.

if we get the 2 new Vox's id like the ability to set priority. as in choose which vox we hear over the others.

say i have it [vox1] [vox2] [vox3]
vox1 is the main squadron vox, the squad splits up to red-flight and blue-flight.
both flights would tune there [vox2] to a selected channel, and would click a new "priority" button that would be placed by the vox's.
and when Priority is selected for vox, it means that Vox transmissions from [vox2] can not be interrupted by vox transmissions from [vox1]
this would also be true for local Vox. (meaning with priority on, no Vox can interrupt the currant Vox your on.

i think having extra vox slots would do great. especially for multi-flight squadrons and scenarios.

just a thought  :salute

+1 having more than 1 vox channel would erase the need for third party vox programs

Undecided about another vox channel, but hey if it's added doesn't mean I have to use it.

I would however love another two text channels, would help me a lot in the special events.

+1

In real life, one radio = one channel.

How many heavy radios are in the plane you are flying?

In real life there were no instant messages that were displayed on your eyeballs or magic real-time clipboard maps.

You still can't tune one radio to two channels.

The Aces High clipboard is no GPS. The Aces High VOX is no radio. Let's not pretend it is.

Can we pretend we're using mapquest on our cell phone then? Still only one address and one person, unless you pay the extra and have 3 way calling, but that just sounds kinky.  :bolt:

In real life, one radio = one channel.

Actually, the P47N manual shows the radio with FOUR (4) channels, as well as with ground and air homing capabilities.
