After all these years of using the thrustmaster.... the one I have now still works, but I have finally decided to go CH throttle and joystick. ;) Amazon.com, man's best shopping friend. ;)

Provantage is the place to CH from. Also make sure you get the rudder peddles the stick is not a twisty.

I have CH pedals already. :D
Now, I'll have to relearn without twisty and get my butt kicked in the game.... MUCH MORE than I do now. :lol

A common thing people will do is buy the Saitek X52 stick and throttle. You can find it for about $80 or so these days.
Then buy a CH fighter stick and use it with the X52 throttle. It's cheaper AND you have the X52 stick as a spare in case the CH stick is ever out of whack.
I know the CH is good quality (even though I personally don't care for it) but from what I've been hearing most people prefer the X52 throttle over the CH throttle.

As I've never had the CH throttle nor the X52, I can only comment based on second hand info and scouring info from the Internet about both. I was very interested in one or the other at one point. I thought (from an outsider's perspective, mind you) the x52 throttle looked like a better unit. It looked better with regards to button layout, ergonomics, and motion (it rotates, I think the CH slides?).
However, now that I use a 6-lever CH throttle quad that's a moot point. Perhaps not the most comfortable nor the best, but I find having those extra axes is a good tradeoff for me.
P.S. If you have never used a CH stick before, and find it uncomfortable to use the top hat, try mounting it lower. On a lower side table or possibly stick a platform on your chair's arm. You don't hug your palm to the entire stick, but you rest it on the buttons and you reach them all a lot better. That's not too far off from how the F-16 side stick is (and I think that was the real stick this CH stick is based on).
