Hi , I've got a problem with my windows  :cry and was thinking about installing Ubuntu. will AH even work with Ubuntu?? :pray  any advice would be highly welcomed.... :salute  :bolt:

Someone managed to do it using PCLinux and Wine in the thread linked below so it should be possible under Ubunutu, don't think it'd be very practical though. Better off fixing your Windows installation in the long run I would think.

Ubuntu is great for everything else, super easy.

It's very easy to make a split boot configuration.  On boot up it asks if you want windows or Linux (ubuntu).  If all you use windows for is Aces High then there isn't much need to load up with anti-xxx software and all that.

I tried.. there are several issues... The big one is if you have a CH stick, there is a a bug in the linux kernel and it doesn't initialize properly. I believe there is a patch for it but It hasn't been included in the main kernel tree yet. The other is AH is directX based and directX support isn't always supper stable in wine.

If you get it to work well, let us know, that would be cool!

I have Ubuntu partitioned on my hard drive, but I wish I never put it on there.  I never use it, but since I don't know how to get rid of it,
I guess It'll be there.  :frown:
