He's going to have a hard time living that one down. Even if he keeps his job you can bet every air carrier HR department will have his name just in case he tries to switch employers. A really bad case of foot in mouth.

Sometimes on quiet days I ask for a radio check to make sure my mic isnt stuck before I start singing lol

This happened in March, it was dealt with then and he's still flying.

Why would he be fired? or even suspended? It was obviously a stuck mic, and a private conversation. Embarressing yes, but thats about it.

The only difference was my microphone wasn't stuck on transmit and I didn't make the news.
