Jetweek-- PLEASE READ!
Time: 1950's Korea
as the Korean conflict continues, the Soviet
Union has decided to intercede in the conflict by
Striking UN targets with IL-28s(AR234) and Tu-4s(B29)
in response to USAF bomber Strikes Against North Korea.
Bases A75 and A2 contain B29's. these bases are strategically
placed to be within range of Strats. the Side to get any
strat down to 75% gets 1 plane at 1 base of their choosing.
**Also side with the most points wins!
Vbase 107, which will be neutral will contain a LA7 for Knits,
and P51D for the Bish.it lies between v110 and v31. T34's,
and firefly's will be active. whoever captures the base, gets
their plane. if the other side captures it back, they get their
respective plane.
***points will be issued for Strats. 1 point per 1 percent.
***winner will be side with most strat points.
***this includes all strats. if you knock the ammo factory down
***to 30% and the radar factory down to 70% you will acquire
***100 points towards the win.

Sounds great.
Count me in.

jagger, y0u and shifty have the best setups! keep up the good work! <S> to you and all those that help you!

For jetweek, I would really love to see an F-86 Sabre, those things were fun to fly in 'Warbirds' when they were set up for very special events.

This is a great setup and has great potential, but one pitfall. The Strats rebuild and negate any progress the bombers make on their bomb runs thus cannot work on the objectives posted.. Please adjust the Bishop strats to these levels as of yesterday's progress:
Ammo = 6%
Radar = 64%
Those were the percentages after my bomb runs. If this cannot be fixed, then it might be difficult to attract bombers in the arena, which also translate into flying 262s afterward (which I did fly the 262 for an additional hour or so). Or would you rather have us post our results online?
Either way, Flying the B29s have spurred positive results in two ways: 1) Jet fighters try to shoot us down, or disengage and fight other guys willing to rendevous and escort. 2) Free B29s and Free training for manual calibration is priceless!

I just left. Heck of a good time, but something is escaping me. I was flying Bish and almost had the knit strats down when another of my countrymen captured the neutral Vbase. The arena reset and the knits won the war. I'm not comprehending what happened. Our strats were not to 75% point as of yet.
maybe I'm missing something...

I was there at the time, too. While I was fearful that the arena would reset (which would change base ownership back to the default and also enable all planes), that was not what happened. We saw the messages - "Arena will reset in x minutes" - but that was all.
Don't know how Jaeger did it, but good job!

is there a way to reset map to where a75 back to allies anbd a2 is back for axis becuase map changed today and noone has 29s anymore
and there s problem with a110 took it for bishops and won war for nits and clearly allies had strats way down more and after that took it again and for allies didnt get p51d got la7
-
Any "win the war" message you got was a result of the base capture, as the only thing that can trigger the automatic message is a certain number of bases taken.
Having a strat objective was only to "manually" determine a winner so to speak.
In the past, we have had to prevent this from happening by making it impossible to capture the required amount of bases or the arena would reset and change all the planes etc like Oldman said.
Jaeger has recently discovered a way to set the arena so that this will not happen no matter how many bases were taken.
Iv'e been wondering if there was a way to get the automatic "win the war" message without screwing up all the plane settings and apparently there is.
This accidental discovery might prove useful. Too bad it still has to be based solely on capture though.

Icon settings reverted to no enemy icons. It's a lot of fun, but different from MOTD.

fixed again, thanks shifty!

So how do you get to pick your planes? :headscratch: After reducing strats to less than target, I didn't get my planes... WA WA WAAAAA!!!!!
Seriously, good fun, though. It took me all night to acheive the following:
City - 64%
Refinery - 58%
Ammo - 28%
Radar - 57%
Training - 43%
AAA - 66%
Gives you an idea what strategic bombing was all about back during the big one... :salute
-
city doesnt count,
refinery-- 42 points
ammo--72 points
radar-- 43 points
training--57points
aaa--34 points
total =248 points so far. you get 1 plane at one base of your choosing. it mus be a base you already own.
we've had some issues with resets. they should be good now, but at this point icons are back to 5k. strats are what they are. we're trying to keep up with it as best we can. please bear with us. thank you for your co-operation.

How about the P38L at A80? I have an idea for that one... :joystick:

your wish is granted!

Where P-38s used in Korea?

These were.

These were not.

Something tells me Jaeger didn't enable the K-Ration can opener though. ;)

Well, the F-82 twin mustang served quite a few roles in 1950, and in fact was the first to score an air-to-air victory in Korea (la7). The P-38 would fit nicely I think
-
I understand that, but since we can't have the F-82, this will work as a stand-in.

Yep, just what I was thinking
-
no... p-38 is wrong... should be a f4u4 or chog.
but if staff is granting whimsical wishes, then how about this one? Put icons to MA standards after jetweek. :noid
