I'm having a strange issue, which I've been unable to isolate. It seems to be related to my pedals. I'm flying a G940, which has toe-brakes on the rudders.
When taking off with some aircraft, such as the P51, I can't accelerate - the aircraft behaves as if the brakes are applied. Sometimes, as with the B25, applying the brakes gives me extra braking, sometimes the brakes appear to have no effect. If I do manage to get airborne (by staggering down the runway and falling off a cliff), the plane flies normally. Carrying a bombload seems to make this worse. With other aircraft, such as the LA-7, there is (usually) no issue with brakes. Also (and possibly related) I sometimes lose rudder neutral - ie - the aircraft flies as if I have a good dose of left rudder applied, requiring a big bootful of right to compensate. Combat trim on/off doesn't effect this. I can dial in rudder trim, but then when the problem goes away, I'm out of trim the other direction.
I've calibrated everything numerous times, it doesn't seem to fix the problem. I've verified that the controls return reasonable values in the controller setup menus, and appear to be free of spiking. My G940 is pretty new, so this shouldn't be an issue anyway.
Any suggestions are most welcome.

You could try mapping the toe axis to the C & V keys instead of using the analog axis. So remove the brake axis in AH then set your depressed right pedal to V and the left to C - Using the Max or Min axis values that apply for your particular make of pedal.

I would guess it may be a power issue?
What kind of power supply does your computer have?
Have you considered a powered USB hub?
My second guess would be maybe your computer is at the limit for handling AH2?
I lose rudder neutral randomly often and have the above issues. My computer is old and barely hanging on and my rudder pedals are probably 15 years old and are analog running through an adaptor and a powered hub.
Otherwise, I really don't know. Just guessing.

I would guess you calibrated in windows before going into AH ? - If you didn't, now would be a good time!
Otherwise I can only guess that AWwrgwy may be nearer the truth.

I get this occasionally as well - if I go to windows and look at the calibration of my pedals, it starts out with the brakes half-on. Once I calibrate settings in windows, this disappears and when I go to AH after that and calibrate there, I have no further brakes-on issues.

A POWERED USB hub help out a lot with the new controllers. AS they get "fancier" they draw more power and the computers USB line just can't keep up. Best bet is to add a powered hub and plug your controllers into that.

The G940 is subject to spiking issues with the new firmware that was supposed to corect the reverse axis problem.
Open you clipboard goto options, controls map controls and select the pedals in the controller selection upper right.
now look at the brake axis, are the numbers moving or still,do they read 0 or some higher number?
you can slect the toebrake axis, check advanced box and try some deadpan or dampening to the toe brakes, this might help if it's a spiking issue. also the axis could be reversed, try full brakes see if they release,if so then invert axis and that should release the brakes.
if these dont help, try unmapping the toe brakes and see if they function with the C/V keys, then try remapping the toe brakes and see if that helps.
report back if and when you solve the problem, could help others in the future.

Thanks for the feedback all. My computer is a brand new with an 850W PSU, so it isn't an oldness issue, or a raw power issue (though it might still be a USB line issue). I have calibrated both in logitech's profiler and in AH, so it isn't that. I'll try plugging them into a powered hub (I fortunately have one available), and I'll try mapping the keys to the axis instead of using the analog values. (And yes, BTW, I did have to reverse the axis to make them work properly in the first place) More news as events warrant!

Frequently (usually on my first sortie after logging in) My brakes will be stuck on. Tapping the brakes on the pedals remedies this without turning off the auto takeoff.

The G940 has a 'self calibrating' feature. Before I load the game every time (after every reboot), I have to cycle every axis through its full range of motion. No need to load the calibration screen.. just run each axis its full amount and you're good to go.
My warranty just ran out and personally I'm tired of Logitech's "features" that are more like hindrances. If you don't mind doing a little bit of work (and voiding your warranty) then feel free to do the same mod that I did. You'll have to buy another controller board, but it is possible to do.
