Post by: Rob52240 on June 26, 2011, 02:09:55 PM
Anyone know what the distance is where the different gun positions on bomber formations converge?

Something else to keep in mind is that when the enemy fighter is at 1k, or even 800 yards out, learn how to fire the single gun you are in KNOWING full well that your aim will be off for the other guns on the other bombers and that you will simply be wasting ammo.  If you just want to pepper or make them think twice about being comfy while setting up for an attack run, this is the thing to do.  Do not waste ammo if not need be.   :)

+1
A few straight shots across their bow should get their attention.

I have been hit at 1 k more then once and got PW or oil hit on my plane.
And that's my useless two cents.

They usually converge at what ever distance my head is at  :O

999000 is crosseyed and so the difference in conversion. He shoots just before the two planes meet. :)

Geez you're a freak...  I know I was setting up once at about 1.6k from a set of your bombers, getting fast and a little high for my run, suddenly I see tracers and my rudder goes away.

I'm not ashamed to admit I went off in search of easier prey. :)

Don't know how you do it, but it's impressive.

Wiley.

Longer shots only fire the gun you are in, otherwise your just wasting ammo.  999000...I hear he uses a chicken foot, a troll doll, and some buttermilk as aiming aids.
