Common problem that I remember hearing about in 2007 but can't find the link to the fix. (AH Community or Skuzzy, What do I need to do to fix the problem )
I remember many people saying once they switched arenas or logged out for an hour w/o rebooting the system this would happen to them. I have

>>>CH Products stick , throttle, peds. I did open and use CH Control manager when i first set up stick then set up buttons in AH like I used to when I had XP<<<

Still losing my stick settings. Tried plugging into another USB port and saving the file manually but once I leave the game I lose touch with the file.
Yesterday it was only one axis that lost input. the fix was to recal the stick.
ANY HELP or hints WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Is your AH installation in "Program Files" or a directory one level down from a partition? You might be having trouble writing/saving to a file. Vista can be a squeak that way if the permissions are not set in order to do what you want.

Well thanks Thud for giving it a shot.
Yes, AH is on it's own drive (C:) within Vista.
C:and D: are in the same HD to be clear and are partitioned. The D: drive is my main drive.
Aces High is in my program files. When I click on properties this is it's location "C:\Hitech Creations\Aces High\aceshigh.exe" but in the start menu it has this address D:\Users\joe\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs.
SO are you saying I have to give Vista certain admin permissions for it to work properly or should i just move the whole file into the D: drive?

Check the properties of the head position files Tools, they might be read only, which will revert every time you exit game etc.

What Wurzel said.
You can use the big hammer approach for troubleshooting and allow Everyone Full Control on the Aces High directory. If it works you can tighten up permissions as you see fit.
Good Luck,

Thank for the suggestions fellas, I'll give the ideas a try later on tonight..
I noticed yesterday that my stick was completely missing from my CH Products manager. The Peds and throttle were still there and may also have been part of the problem as well.

A8 if you arent using the CH manager then dump (uninstall) it and see if the problem goes away.
