I picked up the habit in college when I would frequent a sports bar/grill in Waco, Tx to shoot pool on my lunch break. It took me years to actually care about what I was smoking. In the beginning price was normally the deciding factor on which cigar I would smoke, even so I could never stomach those flavored or sweetened cigars (swisher sweets, black and milds, etc.) Currently, my preferred cigar I can only get at a small cigar shop near where I work. It has a corojo wrapper, Dominican republic binder, and a Dominican republic/Nicaraguan blend filler; hand made into a corona size. I will also gladly smoke most of what is offered by the Oliva brand, especially if it is made with a habano wrapper.
So how about it, anybody else out there a cigar smoker? Got a preferred smoke or just what is available at the time?

Monte Cristo Classic Robusto, or maybe the San Cristobal Clasico both of those have been my favorites so far. You should check out http://www.cigargeeks.com/ it has a great online humidor feature and a bunch of reviews, its a great site.

I HIGHLY recommend these. I know that smoking something that looks like it fell out the back end of a Great Dane takes a learned appreciation to accomplish the feat. It is far easier to do with the Sportsman cigars. They have a greta flavor and wont make you pass out on the first inhale.

Those look pretty interesting loon, except for the part in the description "hint of vanilla". Not saying I wouldn't give them a shot, I would just buy one cigar to try first before buying a box.
And thanks silat and kilo for the web links, this gives me some reading to help pass the time at work.
