I went through several pages in this forum and I found a couple of threads about this but none of them had the answer to my question..
How do you change the title music??
-
I may be mistaken, but I believe you copy the sound file into your 'sounds' folder and rename it to title0
-
Thanks Eskimo that worked!!
-
Eskimo, :salute I also got it to work. :aok
-
hmm this is not working for me. I'm copying the song I want, placing it in my sounds folder and renaming it to title0. Start up AH and it still plays the original song.

it MUST be an mp3 sound file to work.

AC/DC Spoilin for a fight, now thats a title theme!
-
Is there a way to just turn the music off all together?
-
If you open the AHII clipboard, there is a slider in the sound control options for the Title Music.
Just turn it all the way down.

Not sure why this thread was started in Custom Skins - Maybe should be under Custom Sounds, but anyhoo...
Yesterday, I built a simple script that renames a series of twenty-nine mp3 files, rotating each one into focus for the game as "title0.mp3"
Then, I built a launcher that calls the rotate script, then starts Aces High.
Each time you run the launcher, it rotates a new song into the title0 spot, then launches the game.
Nifty, eh?
I packaged in in an installer and posted it in Custom Sounds.
The installer, includes some '40s music, but you can replace the .mp3 files with anything you want, as long as it follows the naming convention:
title0.mp3
title1.mp3
title2.mp3
...
titleA.mp3
titleB.mp3
...
titleS.mp3
29 tracks in all.

There's a new link for version 1.1
http://www.fileden.com/files/2010/10/6/2987784/title_music_rotation_launcher_1-1_setup.zip (http://www.fileden.com/files/2010/10/6/2987784/title_music_rotation_launcher_1-1_setup.zip)
Version 1.0 was ditched after concerns were raised that I was illegitimately distributing music and using the 'Aces High' name.
So, in the new version, you have to supply your own .mp3 music files, but the launcher will rotate them.
Still with FileDen, but not as slow. The setup file is less than 5MB.

Because there was no custom sounds forum back when this old thread was started...

I had to redownload the game from scratch on a new computer and I'm having the same problem. The slider is all the way to 0 but I still get the title music. :headscratch:
Maybe it will go away after I move the folder and load Mitsu's sounds.
edit: It did. I was able to delete the file after installing the new soundpack.

Belay my last. When I deleted the file it reverted to the original title music. :bhead

If you move the "Music" slider, on the "Master Volume" fold out to zero (first slider), per the image I have attached, and the title music still plays, then there is probably a configuration issue with the sound devices you have selected.
NOTE: There are two radio buttons to select from. You can only set the "title" music to 0 for one or the other, not both.
Using the "Advanced" option to try and adjust the title music volume will not work. Why? The game is not really running at the opening screen. It only starts to run once you select an option which gets you to a "tower".

Thank you Skuzzy. It was driving me nuts.

There's no "title0" file in my Aces High directory. I've also renamed some of my mp3 songs "title0" and installed them in the sounds folder with no success. There must be another way of doing this? Am I missing a step? I can replace every other sound file except the title music. Should it be a .wav file instead of an mp3 file? Would appreciate some help. Thanks.
