http://www.break.com/index/worlds-largest-model-air-plane.html
"This is the largest model airplane in the world. It is the B29 Dina Might, scale 1/5 and with its four engines of 160cc each it lifts 210 kg in the air. "
Pretty cool B29 RC plane.

4 jet engines apposed to 4 gas engines, man that guy has alot of time and money on his hands. and skill, these planes aren't easy to fly either I would guess...

I think it cost them over $36,000. 00 to build.
-
Maybe more, I know of a $80k dragonfly, and my friend who's big in rc has 25k B25s. His jug is up there too.
Shame on that B29 no scale prop, not does it seem to have nice details.
-
Couldn't you have bought/built some type of aircraft for that.
I know at least an ultralite must be cheaper.

Is there anything really stopping anyone from building bigger than that B-29?

Well, you could build a predator drone of the same size as the military.

God dang, that's terrible! :cry :cry Why must the ground be so unforgiving :(
EDIT: You know looking at it reminds me of the actual B-52 crash. They both seem to have like characteristics in means of that turn.
