Title: Transformers 3
Post by: TonyJoey on July 06, 2011, 05:38:33 PM
What are your opinions on this movie? Personally, I found it to be extremely cliche and predictable, to the point where I didn't like it at all.

Our Camaro Club was invited to show our cars and see the movie in 3D IMAX then eat dinner there.

In 3D IMAX it was pretty good. I never saw all of the first one and none of the second one.

I really only went to the movie part because my Wife and Daughter wanted to go.

I only saw the good parts of the first one, i.g., Megan Fox leaning over.

Squid and company gave it  :aok's so I may go check it out.  I liked 1 and 2 but I have a low threshold for satisfaction.

Anyone notice how perfect her hair and how white her dress was throughout what amounted to World War 3.  :rofl

I haven't seen it personally but I've heard from several good sources that it's exactly the same as Transformers 1 and 2.

Meh I don't like Megan Fox to much anyway but without her in the movie I have no desire to pay to see it.

Oh then good enough to fire up some nachos and a cold one and enjoy a brainless movie watching stuff blow up and the nerd get the hot chick in the end?

That's just my game :D

I really liked it. Tons of eye candy, and two or three eye-watering moments as well.

I saw it in 3D -- we don't have that back in Alaska. Never fails to awe me!

The move was entertaining.  To heck with all of the "the acting wasn't up to par" and "I don't see how that's feasable" junk.  I go to the movies to have fun.  It didn't disappoint.

Well. In terms of effects and eye candy and cool stuff. This movie is a perfect 10 ..... but everything else?

Let me put it this way , we laughed more at the stupidity of the movie than the jokes in it.

Plawranc your only saying that so it looks like your agreeing with everyone else to make you seem. What's the word...... ohhh yeah cool.(Just kidding I love you) I personally loved it and I find it hard to see a good action packed movie with any real good comedy in it. I mean the movie has Action, Hotness, comedy, little robots, big guns, awesome VFX and I could go on for 2 more minutes on what this movie has. Besides if you we're gonna see it in the first week you would have had to like it. Right, come on admit you loved it. Yeah, that's right you loved don't deny it.

I liked it. I loved the cartoon as a kid so watching my childhhod memories come to life via modern movie magic doens't get old for me. It's a summer movie and that's my mindset going in. Hard to be let down that way.

Good time to escape from reality and enjoy a movie with my 2 boys. We went to see it last weekend and they thought it was funny, and a great escape from mom, sister and our friends baby while at the beach during the rain on Saturday evening.

IMHO, every movie that comes out now is predictable.

T3 was good though. Not GREAT, but good enough to watch again. Didn't like the girl in it, but I did find it funny, + it had lot's of explosions to make me go "oooooo! Ahhhhh!"

Just think, Smurfs the movie is coming out now. Previews makes it look absolutely horrible and annoying.

Im waiting for Count Duckula and Dangermouse to come out as a full feature movie. Those I might have to go watch. In fact, how about a Duckman and The Critic movies also?

I miss those shows  :cry

It was definitely better than the 2nd one!!!  TONS better.

But it still sucked.  Perhaps I just had such high hopes for the Transformers Movie franchise from the beginning.  I was hoping for a well thought out plot and a darker - more adult type of movie but all three seem like nothing more than sell-out films to capitalize on the concept.

I guess it worked. <shrug>

Cartoon network had awesome shows 4-5 years ago, Disney channel had good shows, almost every channel had something good on it, then all this new age shiz came and ruined everything. I can't even watch Lilo and Stitch anymore cause its blocked due to copyright yet no where to be seen  :cry :cry :cry

If you guys want a movie that's not lame and predictable, might I recommend Mr Smith Goes to Washington or Casablanca?

Seriously, what are you guys expecting to see when you go to a movie these days? ESPECIALLY a TRANSFORMERS movie?

Yeeeesh! Just enjoy the experience! Live life and all that junk!

I found Battle LA MORE wholesome than this movie.

Yes you make a great point but when I heard news about them making a Transformers movie (back when they were making the first one) I was hoping that it would be written with my generation in mind.. you know us 80's kids who grew up playing with transformers and watching the cartoons.  I don't think today's (or even yesterday's) generation even knew what Transformers were until that movie came out.  I hoped that it would be targeted towards adults in their late 20s/early 30s and made into a more serious kind of film.  It could have been a truly epic film had they decided to go that route.

Instead they decided to make a movie for today's kids that would make them think that it is an adult film.  I suppose there is a lot more money to be made there (with merchandising and all that) and also helped to jump start the sales of transformers toys again.  It makes sense definitely.. I was just hoping for something more mature.  I guess in a way I'm getting tired of walking out of a movie theater with a lower IQ than what I walked in with... that's kind of how I feel after watching these transformers movies.

Okay I just got back from the movies.  I thoroughly enjoyed it.  I wasn't expecting Schindlers List and I didn't get it.

They're just 'fun' movies for me.  Blonde chick vs Meghan Fox.  I thought Mikala was a more useful girlfriend.  She hot wires trucks, gets into the fight, and was tough but hot.  Blondie struck me as the little diva that never got her hands dirty however I wouldn't turn either one of them down if they showed up at my door :D

Edit: the 3d effect was cool but it gave me a massive headache
