Doesn't look at all like a Spitfire XII, Beaufighter or P38H

No no no, they got it all wrong! It's clearly a work in progress shot! The Me410 doesn't sit so low, and the wings seem to be missing behind the smoke to either side of the engines. I think the perspective is skewed as well because the nose doesn't jut up that high unless there's some really low angle looking up......

Clearly they are still working on it.... :headscratch:

PS. Can we get one of those smiley faces for our posts that looks like its licking a window?

All I want to know, will the King Tiger update also be comming with an IS-2!?   :x   Otherwise it will indeed be the undisputed king of the battlefield for a while to come.

That's one of the worst most out-of-focus pictures I've ever seen. Here's a better shot:

If that is a King Tiger, I hope we get another tank like the Pershing to counter it.

Shoot it in the escape hatch on the back of the Turret.  Thats how an M8 killed a King Tiger IRL.

Escape hatch better be modeled right....it was the weakest point on the turret.

We'll see.....

I hope HTC starts to go the other way and instead of introducing the late war wonder tanks that didnt really contribute to the war, to instead start adding in some EW and MW tanks that were made in the thousands, made a meaningful contribution to the effort, and were seen on multiple fronts.

The Panzer III, Valentine Mk VI (w/ 6 Pdr), the StG III, the Su-100, the SdKfz 251/9, etc.  I understand the eye-candy and "legendary" effect of the King Tiger, but seriously???

Aircraft wise, I dont think many will not admit to the glaring holes they see in the line up such as the He111,  Ki-43 "Oscar", Pe-2, D520, Beaufighter, and a few others.  Beggers cant be choosers, I guess.   :)

personally, i feel the m3 lee should already be in the game. it amazes me it isent already. being such an important tank at the time it was introduced.

Perhaps HTC wants a preeminent vehicle in the game, as the current Tiger once was.

The King was also the best looking tank of WW2, imo.

You have a citation for that?  I am aware of an M8 kill of a Tiger I via engine fire, but not one of a Tiger II through anything.

IS-2 was way more prevelent (production starting in '43 and throughout '44), the IS-3 barely made it into the war - it never got off the train heading to Berlin, and was only at the disposal of one regiment sent to Machuria against the Japanese (where it's arguable that they were ever used in combat or saw any).  Over 3,000 IS-2s were produced during the war, compared to just over 300 IS-3s (designed in 1944) before the end of it.

Quote from: Wiki
The IS-3 came too late to see action in World War II. Though some older sources claim that the tank saw action at the end of the war in Europe, there are no official reports to confirm this. The tank saw no action against the Germans, although one regiment may have been deployed against the Japanese in Manchuria.

The ISU-152 on the other hand, Russia had nearly 2,000 of those bad boys wandering all across the country side before the end of the war, from 1943 and all the way to Berlin and Manchuria.
