The left cannon on the Me-163 is not affected by damage.

Earlier today I was flying a M-163B, and engaged a B-17. He or She got a few pings on me so I hit CTRL+D to see what damage I had. It said "Left Cannon" but I was still able to shoot both cannons.

That doesn't mean it cannot be damaged, it simply means the connection between the actual item and the damage screen isn't set up properly. It happens from time to time and HTC can put it on their "to do" list.
