VF15 wanted to send a <<SALUTE>> to the Air Raiders and The Gunfighters for excellent escort to target and giving us a window to egress our B17s in Frame 2.
We know you guys took losses but your work got us through and we leveled the base. We rearmed and went for that last base (unrecalled) but only got a few in as time ran out on the rest of us and we had to RTB so we wouldn't lose the plane.
1 stinking FH left on the secondary target... ALMOST!!!
