First time I have ever experienced this before, and it's happened 3-4 times tonight. While flying, all sound in game cuts out, (music does as well half of the time) and then 2-3 minutes later, the game crashes. Only thing I've changed since before this was happening was I put in an extra HDD in my machine for storage, and I haven't even put anything in that yet.

Proper diagnostic procedure would be to remove the new HDD and see if you can replicate the issue. If the problem is gone, this is not HTC's problem. Is your sound from a motherboard chip set or from a sound card in one of your slots?

It stopped all of a sudden without adding anything. I think a good kick to the case worked.

Any time the game ends or exits abnormally a file can be corrupted.
<snip> Once an abnormal termination of the game occurs, it is possible for file(s) in the "settings" folder to get corrupted causing the game to crash every time after that.
