Is there still a way to lock your cursor on the screen? For some reason "search" isnt working for me. Also does anyone still have a cursor gun sight ? Thanks.
-
You can no longer do this. The cursor only shows up when you open the clipboard - it disappears when you minimize it.
If for some reason you can't see the cursor when you have the clipboard map out, hit 'H'.
-
The cursor will also disappear after a few seconds if you don't move it.

Thank you

why did they make it were it disape rs?

Some were using it as a site when they moved around in the cockpit would be my guess.

Wow that's desperate.

No more desperate then spending 15 mins deciding which of your 100 gun sight sight pack your going to use for which airplane. If your using a gun sight that was never actually used on the actual airplane during the war then you might as well be locking a cursor sight in, same deal. I only used it for one plane and even that isnt all that necessary. Unlike 99.9% of the players in AH I'll just use the historical sight. :salute

No offense but where did you get the data for this?

:ahand <--- The middle one

So we have two Heros saying they use the actual historic gunsight for every plane in AH ? :lol

I dose stop those that move their heads so high up to look over the nose to use it as a "site". It also takes the "gameyness" out of using the cursor as a site in the GV. Now you must learn to range your targets better than be for.

While using the cursor as a gunsite may be gamey and thats possibly the reason for the change it doesnt stop players from using a marker or other things and place a dot on the monitor screen. I've heard plenty of players say they've done this and at 1 time I even made a similar thing myself.
I wont go into what I used as I consider it to be gamey now, however at the time it was a great aid! I dont use historic sights in all the planes I fly, instead I use the same sight in every plane, the basic british MkII. If you spend some time in the TA and work with the lead calculating gun/bomb sight, you'll quickly learn aim points from inside the cockpit,a sight picture, then you wont need any enhancements.
