Title: my WWII vehicles have targeting computers?
Post by: Skyguns MKII on July 23, 2011, 04:31:52 AM
Not hack, not a cheat, but a bug I'm investigating in and trying to fix. Thought you guys may find it interesting. Do any of you other guys have this issue? black UFOs And UGVs get rather old in the excitement of trying to find your enemy

Get a new video card, you should not have white trees and black objects all over the place.

I get those black squares while playing on my laptop....Looks like a video card issue not a game bug of some sort.

I had a squaddie that had a video card that did this.  Some sort of glitch or incompatibility issue, where nothing was hidden regardless of distance.

AH is in critical need of a terrain graphics update.

+1.. but then it will weed out much of the player base. how many players have the money to build a rig if they dont have one now?

AH is in critical need of a terrain graphics update.

Whats the point? They would still set it up so you could turn down the "eye candy" to make the game playable to the widest audience, and so most would turn it down any way.

Just a waste of time and resources.

Intel video cards have that problem, although for me it's seemed to be absent in the AvA and the SEAs.

If you can, get an ATi card, they don't have the problem.

As you know, we just had a major one a year or two ago.  What's wrong with it now? :headscratch:

Yep.  Still lovin' the looks of the water, but not the sound it makes when you ditch in it.  It shouldn't scrape like you're on concrete.

it uses the same sound file. no sense creating another sound that most people wont even hear anyway.

I would hear the sound of a water ditch more often than a land ditch.

REASONS:
1. I try to land with my gear down.
2. I don't usually make it back to base anyways.

If they have enough money to pay to AH every month then they are not that bad in need of money.

I assure you, there is a large difference between "Can pay $14.95 each month" and "can spend $1000-2000 on a new computer now".

Really you don't even have to spend that much. I spent about $600 on mine and can run graphics maxed, even in major furballs.

Yeah, but you're a rich stormchaser :D

I need about $450 to finish mine, but that might as well be $45,000 at the moment.

Yes, you can, on the graphics we have now.  What makes you think your $600 computer would do so after a major terrain graphics update?

I assure you there are more people out there who care more about the graphics than gameplay...if this game looked as half as decent as some these other games, the customer base would well out grow the drop in customers who can't upgrade.

No its not. Adds to immersion. I would like to see sand or maybe snow or anything other than the green we have.

Think of the white trees as having early morning frost lol
