Title: Tattoo Sites
Post by: RoGenT on July 23, 2011, 08:09:38 PM
I know this is wierd request but would try my luck. I'm looking for some sites that I don't have to pay for money just to find some designs. Any suggestions on websites?  :salute

If he happens to see this, otherwise I'll PM him.

Will probably be several months before I get 'inked' but might as well shop around now and get some ideas. It would be a cover up to a tat I had gotten 10 years ago. Was thinking tribal even though it is rather trendy nowadays (I've always like it anyway though)

Do you have any friends who are good artists?  Having a totally unique tat that has some sort of personal connection is pretty cool IMO, picking some standard design out of a book not so much.

Tec nailed it....especially when it comes to cover-ups, no standard "design" will work anyways, if you just throw something over an old tat you will see right through it and know its a cover up....and that just sux....you need to find someone who can do custom work, who is an artist not one of the new plethora of "tattooist" who have no clue as to what they are doing.....

show me a pic of what needs to be covered and I will try to help out.

truly though a tat should represent YOU.....taking a "flash" design and slapping it on is not the way to go.

speaking of a "design yourself".. i had a buddy trip on acid bad one time, drew up a tattoo. evryone calls him "Tubby" so he spelt it out, the "T" is a mushroom, and i forget about the other things, but its pretty epic. every time he talks about you can tell hes never been happier about a tattoo he has.

True story, When my ex was a teen (80's) in Germany, they were at a party. Everyone was drunk.
Somebody  came up with idea of getting Tatoos. One guy, who everyone thought was a jerk was getting one
on his back. He thought it was gonna be an Eagle or something.
Turns out they paid the Tatoo artist to put a Washing Machine on him :rofl

There was a guy I played college football with that transfered into UAB from Georgia Tech. He had the Tech Yellow Jacket tattoed on his arm and then got a Tasmanian Devil with a UAB jersey on to cover it up....about 8-9 weeks later he quit and went back home to Georgia because he was home sick just 2 hours away. Talk about an EPIC FAIL!
