Title: Stall Limiter Apparently Stuck On
Post by: nrshida on July 25, 2011, 02:53:26 PM
I don't know if this is a bug or if even it's been posted before as the search function no longer seems to work, but I've encountered a strange problem today. The stall limiter seems to be on regardless of the checkbox. To verify I went to the TA and did a flat turn full flaps in a Ki-84 and could pull the stick right back to the stop with no buffet. Also the time to do a 360 was way off. I tried the obvious, re-calibrated stick, rudder and throttle first in Windows and then in game, checked and unchecked the stall limiter, tried a different aircraft (Spitfire Mark V) same business.

Am I missing something obvious? Is this a known bug? Any advice please?

Thanks.

Out of curiosity, do you happen to know the file name and where it is in your HTC folder?  If you do, then maybe check the properties of that particular file.  It seems that permissions to alter that file may need to be set.

That was just one shot in the dark sir.  Much less than what you deserve, since you have whacked me out of the cartoon skies way to often.   :devil

I have a similar problem with loading skins (sometimes) and clipboard maps.  I am running XP and am not familiar with the later operating systems, but just a place to start investigating if no one else offers a solution here.

I would definitely post in the Technical Support and Hardware Software forums as well.  It usually gets a much more knowledgeable response than my  :headscratch: ponderings.

:salute I hope you get it sorted out.

Maybe your stick needs to be recalibrated? :headscratch:

I'll check the settings.

Edit: The stall limiter is off now.

Thanks for all the help. If I ever shot you down Chilli I didn't mean it! I was just cleaning the guns and they went off.

So it was an arena setting? If so thanks, I thought I was going a bit (http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/8103/crazy5.gif)

Did reveal some more weirdness with CH pedals though  :headscratch:
