Players have agreed to terms. Taking vote to recertify union tomorrow (7/25).
Training Camp starts Friday with 10 teams reporting.
The remaining teams will report over the weekend.
Trades and Free Agency will start Tuesday after the vote :aok
Glad NFL not blowing it for fans :aok
They don't want to lose 200 mil a game by not playing.
Greed? In NFL?(or any other Pro sport for that matter). Naw
 Oz
P.S. GO RAVENS!!!! :rock

Go Vikings!
Im a Viking fan But eh question begs to be asked. How much longer will they be called that?
And will they be taking the name with them after they move to LA.
Politicians in Minn are brain dead. The populace seems to be not far behind.

Hopefully they wont move the team. I wouldn't be a fan of em if they moved to LA.

I agree college football is better than the NFL but it is something to watch on Sundays besides college highlights. If/when college does a playoff system it will top the NFL. It is just way more interesting.
Go Gators on that note.
And the Rams will win the NFC West this year..woot.

Loveable
Invincible
Outsanding
Never Giving Up
SUPERBOWLERS!!
What does that spell?
DETROIT LIONS!!

Exactly, pro football.. eh you can keep it, the love for the game left long ago.

I'm determined not to let the severity of the greed in the NFL ruin it for me like it did the NBA. The NBA has just been nothing but greed and politicians since the mid 90's and even before then. It's just a bunch of superstars trying to make a name for themselves, never playing defense and always scoring to see who has the most flash. Bleh.
On that note.
I am always a huge COLTS fan.
This year, with the addition of Randall Cobb, Green Bay now has two of my favorite all time Wildcats. (Cobb + Masthay). I may have to root for the good ole' boys from Kentucky whenever I catch a game on.
Thank God the NFL fixed itself.
-
we have tickets to Lions home opener against kansas city
who woulda thought that defence would be the lions strong hand..lol
-
LIONS!!!
-
Haven't really been decent ever, except for that time when Barry Sanders was around.
Everyone loves the underdog. Even the fans.

.......and Kentucky was going to "light it up" last year.........

Which sport? Because I never believe in our football program and our basketball program is the only good team lately. (As far as UK goes).

I would get lions tickets, but I usually save tickets for my Spartans

Are the Spartans looking good this year? I always like watching them whenever UK isn't playing. I like Izzo as a coach, too.
-
Are we talking basketball or football. Either way they look pretty good, both teams have pretty good recruiting classes coming in and I'm really looking forward to Fall/winter. Got season tickets for football too :aok
-
P.S. GO RAVENS!!!! :rock
Oh, you are one of those people, I see... :noid

What is this thread about? Football.
-
I don't believe in our football program. I think any hope of going forward died when Joker was put in charge. I could be wrong, but I don't think we can consistently be a threat in the SEC until we lay down a little green for a good coach.
We've put a few good players in the NFL, though. Stevie Johnson, Wesley Woodyard, Myron Pryor, Masthay and now Cobb. (Aside from Cobb, all of those are Brooks era players).
-
I'll be honest foot ball bores me to death, not as much as base ball though :rofl What sucks about rotc is they have to stand guard around the high school football field to keep non paying people out, sucks terrible in winter I hear :cry

Optimism does not translate into belief, or excitement at the start of a new season.
EDIT: I will admit I had some higher hopes for that team.

GO Broncos!!!!

Do yourselves a favor and ditch the NFL. They have watered down the actual sporting side of it so much it can hardly be called a sport. It's more hollywood style entertainment than a sport. Hall of fame game is a joke, the pro bowl is a joke, and the starters rarely play preseason games and if their going to the playoffs they sit the bench the last couple games too. You can't hit a receiver crossing the middle, you cant sneeze on the QB and the list goes on. Over paid prima donas crying about playing in weather or mud or cold or humidity. Even minute by minute updates on what player hurt another players feelings and how that will affect "the game". It's like watching a late 90s boxing match, everyone knows they're pulling punches or throwing a fight but the announcers and everyone involved act like the two are fighting for their lives. The networks and promoters try and cover it up with flashy, well endowed blondes and extra large (yet flat) $20 dollar beer. It's sad.
Spend your money watching and supporting college football instead, greed hasn't completely ruined it yet and 99% of those kids are on the field because they love the Sport.

I think college football has it's own special set of problems...
