i'm away from my normal computer..... am using a laptop in the backpackers i'm in...the ibm laptop supports the game, but not my controller...i have learnt to create an admin user account by going into safe mode... then trying to install the driver for the 360 controller... but the driver doesn't seem to want to load when i'm using that admin account...is there a reason why? the laptop loads aces fine... except the controller... usually all i have to do is plug the usb in and the comp detects the controller and loads the driver for me...now i have to to go to the microsoft to download driver, but it still doesn't load... so i'm wondering is it cos i'm on the admin? or some settings i should change... pls help... dying of boredom here in the backpackers...

It is possible the controller is drawing too much power for the USB port of the laptop to support it. This is a huge problem with the USB bus, in general. There is a maximum power specification for the USB bus, but nothing says a computer has to meet it.
