Title: B-17G Pilots...Snap Shot Wednesday @ 10 Eastern

Fortress Pilots:

Snap Shot tomorrow night features the Boeing B-17G 'Flying Fortress'  attacking Frankfurt Germany escorted by the P-51D and P-38L;  OpFor: Luftwaffe D-9, A-8 and G-14's

Event starts at 10 PM Eastern...Both sides are air-starting at 20K...Bomber alt cap is 20K

Fast and Furious fun...

I would but with the fighters starting at co-alt there isn't really a point. They'll immediately have an advantage. They know where we're heading, they know how high we'll be etc.

I'm an avid B17 lover (I'm proud to be in the DHBG), but I'm not signing up for a turkey shoot.

Any Fortress pilot who flew this will confirm: This was anything but a turkey shoot...in fact the 17's dominated their defense envelope....as 17's do from time to time

Tight flying and team work won the day....
