Title: Phone systems
Post by: Delirium on July 28, 2011, 12:57:12 PM
Years ago, I remember using a shareware phone system on my old 486 that would not only answer/record calls like an answering machine but could also make outgoing calls in .wav format.

Does anyone know of anything like this which is free or very cheap? The 'robo' callers out there today are ridiculously expensive and don't have much more functionality over my old original program (except they can handle VOIP and are .mp3 based).

Thanks in advance!

google has a voice system that is free.  It gives you a real phone number, transcribed voicemails and can be used from your computer and cell phone with the proper app.
