Title: Good camping open-fire ham requested.
Post by: Tyrannis on July 28, 2011, 08:34:58 PM
hey guys, might be going camping next week and im wondering whats a good type of ham to cook over an open fire?

I usually choose DAK's premium ham, but sadly the cvs that carries them is out at the moment.

Any good suggestions?

We buy Kentucky Legend smoked ham at the local Wal-Mart.  It's pre-cooked and very tasty.  We really like it.  Should be pretty easy to warm up over a fire.

Greens has the munchies again.   :D

Leave the ham in the grocery store.  Sausage, bacon, and eggs will do nicely.  :rock

Not sure if you have a local butcher near you, but that is the only place to buy any type of meats.
