Title: P-38J 82FG/95FS "Joanie"

Here's one from the 82nd FG 95th FS as seen in Foggia, Italy in 1944. There wasn't any way I could say no to those sharkmouths. Anyone ever see sharkmouths larger than this on a 38?

Seeing a few things I want to change (you always see them after you've gone through the trouble taking of the screenshots and posting), but here's the general idea.

  Sweet Cactus,I;ll have to fly that baby around the TA for awhile,havent been in the old 38 in awhile so it's a good reason to!

 :O The shading along your rivet lines is fantastic!    It'll be very popular!   I thnk she's missing the bottom front teeth in her smile though!

Cactus have you thought about a 1st FG J/L?   They have color-coded booms - and I think the 94thPS has  w/ black trim which woud look very nice in the low specularity scheme you use - had one a while back with a yellow/black checked nose and 8-ball art on the nacelle panels - was never submitted.

Fantastic work, cactus! Like Oboe had mentioned, be sure to adjust the shark mouths on the engine nacelles as they are missing a few teeth.

Isn't cannon the lower middle one? Looks like one of the .50s that's missing.

I purposely left out the bottom teeth as there's a whole lot of stretching there, but I'll give it another go. I'd rather it be missing than a blurry blemish.

Oh you are right - if you can't make it look right with the stretching, its better and less noticeable to leave it completely off.  I never woulda noticed but for the pic you posted.

Normally I'd auger a 38J like a boss, I don't think I can with this skin, its just to pretty :(

I don't fly 38's that much...but I would definatly fly that one!  :rock
