Have some questions about the photo below, compared to color profiles:
First, how many wheel cover bolts do you seeon wheel covers? Standard I believe is 4 but it looks to me like I'm seeing 6 around the edge of the wheel cover.
Regarding dark blue spinner nose cone and red spinner/nacelle front trim, it looks to me from the B@W photo that the nose cone is the lighter of the colors. Could the profile have the red and blue reversed? Or does red show as a darker shade than blue in a B&W photo?
The prop blades are balck or dark gray, right? But the shade of the props matches the shade of the nose cone, while the spinner base seems darker.
The tail code letters appear in one profile but not in another. But I thin I might see something faint in the photo - is it likely they were actually underneath the white triangle?
thx help all

As far as tail numbers are concerned.
I just looked at every photo of the 370TH fighter group that is in my book & you have a number of choices based off the tails that I can see.
1. Some do have tail numbers.
2. Some do not.
3. Some are there but are almost completely obscured by the specific shape that is painted on the tail so only a digit or two appears.
I also looked for more wheel cover photos. The one you have is the best one in the entire book.
