Title: Saitek Products in Seattle Area?
Post by: Brazin on July 30, 2011, 04:50:47 PM
Does anyone know where I might be able to buy a Saitek x52 Pro system in the general Seattle area?  I live up in lake Stevens and made the 60 minute drive to Renton today only to find out the only unit Fry's had in stock was the demo, and it was missing cords, and pretty well "used".  I haven't been flying for a number of years but decided I'm gonna dive back into my passion and from all my research I thinkg the x52 Pro (or maybe the regular x52) would be a good start for me.  I'm pretty well dedicated to the twisty sticks so short of going with my old CH Pro Throttle and a new twisty stick of some sort, I thought maybe I'd try Saitek and see how they are.

As a side note, I've checked Best Buy, Walmart, Sears, and Gamestop locally.  None available of either the regular or Pro.

Thank you!

Thanks, I did take a look at their website, but I'd really prefer to buy something locally so I can start playing again right away instead of waiting for shipping.  :)

Walmart stocks the Saitek ST290, which is a twist.  I think it's about $20-$25.  That'll get ya going till you can order a different stick.  Some Best Buy stores carry the regular X52 setup as well.  You can check availability on their website.

Frys should carry em. The one near me has almost all stick/throttle stuff. They even have a Warthog HOTAS that taunts me every time I walk by  :(.

Walmart and Best Buy were just a couple swings in the dark after the fiasco of a trip to Fry's.  Frustrating that Fry's listed them as "availaible" at the store, only to get there and find out they only had the demo model left....  :) Never heard of the Pink Gorilla (except the night I turned 21....).  :)  Will try them next.  Thanks!

Just grab one at NewEgg; online.
I've dealt with them for years. They offer great prices, are
tremendously customer-oriented and probably the best
company I've ever done business with over the net.

Direct link to what you're after: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826102507 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826102507)

That's it, I'm going on a potato strike.  I always knew something was terribly wrong with that state, this just proves it.  :D

It's not Idaho that is inherently evil.. it's Walmart.  I was forced to go there while out of town.  <SHIVERS>  My elder father-in-law insisted on us driving 20 miles to go there to get some hamburger patties so that he could save $2 from the local grocer that was just down the street from the vacation home we rented for the week.

The next day we had to make that drive again to get beer.  Because the local grocer only carried 12 packs.

Grrrr... that mentality just drives me bonkers!

Most of my relatives live in small rural towns scattered around the valley & I will 9/10 times go to the local and spend a couple % more to keep Mom & Pop alive & well in the "REAL" USofA.  :rock
