Title: Mapping functions to controllers question........
Post by: Reaper90 on July 30, 2011, 06:26:04 PM
This may be a no-brainer, but I've cross referenced my list of keyboard functions to all of the functions that are mappable to the various controller inputs, and it seems there are some things that either cannot be mapped to a controller and have to be input via keyboard, or I'm just missing them on the list of functions to map to the controller in-game.....

Am I crazy or is there a limit to what can be mapped?

The reason is the ever continuing sim-pit project and me desire to completely emilinate the keyboard except for typed radio chatter, and to be able to map ALL game functions to either my HOTAS or switchgear on various panels via one of the Leo Bodnar USB controllers, and only use the keyboard to brow-beat people on ch 200.  :D

Any thoughts?

Depends on the stick.  I use my X52's software to map key functions.  Because it is emulating a keyboard I don't have any issues.
