Am I the only person having trouble in the forums? They were down yesterday for me and today it takes like 5 minutes for the reply to post up.

They were down for everyone yesterday.
Seems to be OK for me today.

Never thought I'd see the day I'd rather spend a summer in Arizona, only 102 today, 100 tomorrow.
Been rainy though, so humidity is up.

I am fairly sure it was in June that our high for the day was below 100.

All I can say is I'm SOOOO glad I don't live in Houston anymore. Although it hasn't been much better here in St. Louis. Once you get above 100 it's just friggin' hot no matter how you look at it. I spent last week at Gulf Shores, Alabama on the beach and it was MUCH cooler there... mid 90's.. and there was a nice breeze. Come back to STL Saturday and it's friggin' hot again!
I have to admit it's quite nice today.. mid to high 80's. Looks like the heat wave may be ramping down....

Bah, the heat reminds me of the days of my carefree childhood. I like the days hot and long. Cold, short days are for yankee sissies.

I saw that on the news last week, that most of Texas has been above 100 for 33 days straight. They showed ponds that were just all dried up leaving the poor little fishies to just wait for the inevitable.
Good luck down there!
:salute

Sissies you say! C'mon up here to North Dakota when it's -40 degrees F with a -60 wind chill and we'll see how you hold up, lol. :salute

I Loved my time in Texas but I cannot say I liked taking that combat course in July when it was in the 100s every day. The only way we survived was at a PX, the only place with A/C, that had Ice cold Coors beer. The first round I wouldnt even ask for a glass but would just guzzle down the entire pitcher without one. :O

Funny,I was certain this was the cause, infact it happened around 5pm CT so I told Soulyss that you likely tripped over the cord on the way out the door! :devil

Seems like the DFW area is running a rolling brownout scheme. I think it happened again tonight.
Then again it could just be some jerky person upset with our great HTC going out there and clipping their cables? :uhoh
UGH, could you imagine no electricity and it's 104, 92 at night? EEK

Been there done that DaHand. It doesn't quite get to the same temps here in Birmingham as it does in Dallas mainly due to the fact that out there its wide open and they don't get the moisture off the Gulf like we do. This week its been 99-105 all over the area with humidity levels from 80-100% every day. When the wind blows you can see it moving through the trees and then its raining at least for an hour every day...typical summer in Alabama; been like this for as long as I can remember.

im in the same boat as HTC when it comes to heat related power outages, except San Angelo dosnt have near as many people as the Dallas area, so no blackouts yet but im not really holding my breath. People say they cant remember the last time it was below 100 degrees, I cant remember the last time it was below 107. :bhead
