Great screens!

Great formation flying your squad did in your JU87's prior to the strike against the ships. You flew over the top of the 325th VFG who fighting below you when you were about 25 miles out.
I remember looking up at a pretty impressive formation of 87's and 109's and thinking "Boy is this going to be a good fight". and "I'm going to get my fair share of JU 87 meat"!!!!
Great pics everyone.

Ty Viper... We did get to the target thanks to our escorts (LCA).
After the drop, were served as fat big rybeyes for Lyric who seemed to shoot everyone in my squad.... :salute

Love the B-25 shot, Front. Those things really absorb punishment. :O

Was told to stay on the fleet as we only had two of us online. Squadie was discoed & ended up near all by my self.
It was a lot more fun on the deck than my first merge at the Stukas IBD.
Here I am midway through the formation thinking better of this position I am in. :D

I drove this one home all the way from the target in France to an emergency field in Britain, only had a single rudder and throttle to control direction and altitude.
I got it to the field, but crashed on landing, as she wouldn't stay level with the gear out, and wouldn't slow down enough to pop any flaps.
Jeez it was a slow flight back!
Salute

Screenies from this past Friday.
Kommando Nowotny rolls out.
We engaged a high flight of Hurricanes over eastern England.
Our mission was a fighter sweep ahead of a Ju88 strike.
A missed shot, but a diving enemy is almost nearly as good.
I dive in on a Spit as he tries to catch a flight of bombers.
BOOM! Headshot! Instant kill. I wonder if the pilot even knew what hit him?
With the bombers out of danger, we take the fight to the deck.
This Hurricane would be in real trouble if I still had cannon rounds. This one lands safely after I RTB.
Perdweeb and I are the first to arrive back at home base. Another successful mission in the books.

I shut my engine off and coasted about 3 sectors to make it back to base. One of our disco's was riding with me and was said "I really hope you did that on purpose" lol..
-
tried everything to make it back shut engine off dropped rpms all the way down and listened to the buzzer for a good 15 minutes but ended up meeting a tree.
-
Same here. Dropping RPMs and throttle didn't give me significantly more flight time. That only slowed me down, which likely negated any fuel saved. The E-4 doesn't seem to glide all that well.
-
My squaddie (Pounder) ran out near the radar ring in his 109E. He landed well short of the runway but was able to roll onto it with about 20 feet left to spare!
