Title: Nippon Gyogyoukyoudoukumiai
Post by: Bruv119 on August 08, 2011, 02:35:40 AM
I'd just like to send out a hearty salute to the Japanese squadron Nippon Gyogyoukyoudoukumiai for ranking #1 squadron last tour.

Mostly former FA players that have come together from different squads to make Aces High their new home.   I'm guessing this is a first so I wanted to mark the occasion with this thread.

It sends a clear example to all of those American players that found the game "too hard" or  "i don't like cockpit view"

Well done Gentleman  :salute

I wonder if they'd be interested in a historically based PTO squad challenge in a private arena. Would be awesome to take on some real japanese pilots in Coral Sea or Guad.

a year to learn the game,  No JP translation with the help files (apart from Rolex),  good teamwork that I have witnessed first hand.

You might not think scores mean anything but they do represent your actions in game fairly well and these guys have put together a crew to top the chart against several barriers that would have made the average person give up.

Their presence adds to the off hours players and I hope they continue improving/enjoying the game.

Scores do reflect balanced play well.  A player that does a bit of everything in the game will have a lower score than someone that focuses on only one aspect.  If you want to play multiple aspects, great.  If you don't, great.  Just have fun, the rest will work itself out.

So you're saying score isn't an indicator of a style of gameplay?  I like ya INK, but you're wrong on this.  Score does indeed speak volumes to an individual's playing style.  You maintain a high overall score because you focus on only one aspect of the game.  People who delve into other parts of the game will have a lower overall score because they play the ENTIRE game, not just one part of it.  I'm not saying one way is better than the other, or that a lower score means a player is better.  What I did say is that overall individual score does reflect how balanced a player is in all aspects of the game.

EDIT: for clarity

no..you are right..I misconstrued what was being said.......score is an indicator of ones play style.....I wonder how many are actually very narrow in there play style the way I am, I have only scored in "fighter" for quite a while now, so my score sux arse :D

many people think having a low score means they are better.....and that was what my mind told me I read basically :rofl

I imagine there's quite a few that pick one aspect and stick with it.
