It's a nasty little virus, try starting in safe mode with internet support, go to ESET and run the online scanner.  You will need to do a lot more, that that should be enough to get you started.

Is this the one with the blue background with the red 0's and 1's that has the little warning text on it? (For the safety of your family and work blah blah blah).

If it is, I got it on my XP machine. Wipe and reinstall is what I did. Comp didn't run this good when I bought it. Probably because in my wipe/install I was able to get rid of TONS of extraneous garbage.

That stupid crap was the best thing that happened to my comp.  :lol

Just put white out on teh screen for teh uberest of fixes. Only duct-tape can surpass teh level of greatness!

If you can't get on the internet, then what these guys have said is true, wipe and reformat. If you have any possibility of getting on, try ESET (said before), or my personal favorite, Malwarebytes.

at this point I'd recommend posting in Hardware and Software.   Post as much as you know about your system and the guys that know their stuff will help you.

you could try to DL the scanner on another computer and move it over with a flash drive

Try a system restore first before you go overboard, I got this one about two weeks ago, imediately did a system restore to the week before and no problems since.
